Our Mission

The mission of the Avian Science Center is to promote ecological awareness and informed decision making through the collection, synthesis, and dissemination of science-based information on western birds.

Autumn in Montana

The Avian Science Center has successfully made it through another field season. Our projects in the Big Hole, the Upper Clark Fork Valley, Dillon area, and the Madison River Valley provided us with more data for analysis. We look forward to continuing these projects and developing new partnerships with others to establish better coordinated all-bird monitoring in the state. In the News

O'Dell Creek, located in the Madison River Valley, a project for which we are monitoring birds, gets presidential recognition! For more information on the O'Dell Creek project, click here.
